Position/Term: Permanent/ Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)

Location: Suncor MacKay River, Fort McMurray, Alberta

Work Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off; 10-hour day shifts

What I will be doing?

• Operate truck mounted hydraulic hoisting devices, highway tractor trailer combinations, roll off truck pup trailer combinations, lugger, roll off as required.

• Complete multiple short trips per day with frequent loading and unloading.

• Inspect bins, report on condition and functionality or defects.

• Conduct precise Commercial Vehicle Inspections - documenting and reporting any deficiencies immediately to immediate supervisor.

• Speak with customers to resolve minor customer concerns and refer customer complaints or questions to foreperson or the operations supervisor.

• Ensure that all (waste) bins are emptied and returned in a safe and timely manner and report any discrepancies that may occur.

• Other duties as assigned that fulfill the demands of the role.

What does Acden need from me? 

• Valid Class One (1) driver's license is required.

• Minimum of three (3) years of commercial driving experience is required.

• A driver’s abstract that demonstrates a pattern of safe and compliant driving behaviour is required.

• Successfully completing a driver’s evaluation on a Class One (1) vehicle is required.

• Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO); or OSSA BSO Certificate, or a combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional certificates are required.

• Eligibility to work at all Oil Sand sites within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is required.

• Successfully obtain clearance on mandatory pre-employment drug, alcohol, hearing and physical abilities testing is required; this role is designated as safety-sensitive.

• Have a “safety-first” attitude is required.

• Physically fit to perform all necessary duties of the job.

What are the "nice to haves"? 

• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) experience is an asset.

• Site experience is considered an asset.
