Position/Term: Permanent/ Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)

Location: Falconer Town Shop, Fort McMurray, Alberta

Work Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, Monday - Friday; 8-hour day shifts

What I will be doing?

• Review project blueprints, technical specifications, and requirements to determine the scope of work
• Prepare accurate estimates for labor, materials, and overhead costs related to welding and machining tasks
• Obtain quotes and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive estimates.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to understand project timelines and budgetary constraints
• Communicate with clients to clarify project specifications and resolve any discrepancies

What does Acden need from me?  

• Five (5) years of experience in estimating and project management within a machining and fabrication shop environment
• Minimum Class 5 driver's licence with a clean abstract
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, estimation tools, and software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

What are the "nice to haves":

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, or related field is an asset
