Position/Term: Permanent/ Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)

Location: Falconer Town Shop, Fort McMurray, Alberta

Work Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off; 12-hour day shifts

What I will be doing?

• Ensuring all employees and contractors working on the assigned client worksite are fit for duty
• Coordinating the completion of orientation, safety and/or other training deemed necessary upon completion of hire
• Responsible for responding and addressing urgent and non-urgent situations involving employees and/or contractors
• Enforcing and cultivating safe work practices, guidelines and policies at all times
• Completing projects and meeting deadlines set forth by the General Manager, Acden corporate and/or the client as required

What does Acden need from me? 

• Five (5) years of supervisory experience in a Welding or Machine shop environment
• Minimum Class 5 driver's licence with a clean abstract
• Five (5) years heavy welding experience
• Experience with managing other trades, such as; welders, millwrights, and machinists
• Knowledge of Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA) procedures

What are the "nice to haves": 

• Five (5) years CWB welding experience, CWB supervisor designation is an asset
