Position/Term: Permanent, Local Position
Location: 220 Taiganova Crescent, Fort McMurray, Alberta
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 hour day shifts

What I will be doing?
- Promoting the mission, vision and values of the organization both internally and externally, as well as overseeing the adherence to mission, vision and values.
- Managing and leading business development team, achieving individual and overall company business development goals through strong coaching and mentoring and performance management.
- Identifying and pursuing business growth and diversification opportunities that align with Acden’s objectives, vision and values.
- Leading and supporting negotiations with clients, partners, consultants and First Nation initiatives.
- Supporting sales and marketing strategies.
- Collaborating with bidding and contracts team, with a strong understanding of supply chain and procurement.
- Ensuring all communications align with corporate branding, messaging guidelines, and approved spokesperson protocols.
- Assessing operational issues regarding competitiveness; staying current in terms of trends and innovations internally and externally.
- Holding key role with various Business Development Committees (BDCs) requirements and collaboration with industry leaders.
- Managing business development plans responsible for the growth of each wholly owned business and partnership company
What does Acden need from me?
Absolute must-haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or relevant discipline.
- Ten (10) years' business development experience in oil & gas industry.
- Three (3) years' management experience leading a team of people.
- Experience working with Indigenous businesses, Chief & Council, and/or Indigenous communities.
- Extensive knowledge of the industry, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Excellent organizational, strategic planning, and implementation skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation communication skills.
- Ability to create and sustain professional and respectful relationships with peers, existing and future clients.
- Understanding of financial reporting, economic analysis, investment guidelines and budgets.
- Understanding of operational considerations resulting from business development pursuits
What are the "nice to haves"?
- Marketing, supply chain and sales experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of government relations, investment policies and politics is an asset.
