Temporary Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)
Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta
Work Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off; 8-hour day shifts

What I will be doing?
Manage and coordinate daily service requirements through direct reports or with direct involvement.
Per role requirement, be competent in subordinate skill set as a backup.
Develop targets and indicators for supervisors in the delivery of services for clients and Acden Environment personnel.
Supervise customer contracts to ensure customer needs and contract responsibilities are met and are within budget and exceed client expectations.
Ensure Acden Environment customer service standard is achieved.
Review and monitor daily operator documentation, to ensure that company, client, and regulatory requirements are met.
Review daily payroll submissions from supervisors for accuracy.
Compile reports on team’s performance and customer feedback.
Address all customer inquiries and concerns in a timely manner through direct interaction and/or through Supervisors.
Consult with Operations Manager and / or General Manager on matters related to improving staff morale, revenue generation, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Serve as liaison for the dissemination of information between senior management and field operations.
Staffing and Development:
Ensure that there is always sufficient supervision to provide Acden service while ensuring safety, profitability and integrity
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to all direct reports
Set and communicate clear expectations for all employees.
Conduct annual performance appraisals and salary reviews for presentation to senior management.
Understand, communicate and apply all Acden policies and procedures
Manage all training requirements, and operator training programs
Support, develop, and maintain a respectful workplace
What does Acden need from me?
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in waste management-related field and/or operational management.
Proficient in computer applications; specifically, Fieldglass, CDMS, Outlook, Excel, and Word
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, including customer interaction, team player skills, and ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Flexibility and excellent time management skills to balance and prioritize multiple projects
Sensitive to issues of confidentiality and compliance
Valid minimum class 5 license.
What are the "nice to haves"
Secondary education in business management is considered an asset.
Class 1/3 licence considered an asset.
Successful certification in SWANA Landfill Management and Operations courses
Progressive waste management experience utilizing up-to-date techniques for recycling and disposal.
