Position Title: Class One/Three (1/3) Operator
Role Type: Temporary / Local Position (Camp provided if not local/Non-FIFO)
Location: Syncrude Basemine, Fort McMurray, Alberta
Work Schedule: 6 on/1 off; 12-hour day and night shifts

What I will be doing?
Operate lugger, roll off truck as required.
Able to complete multiple short trips per day with frequent loading and unloading.
Able to safely maneuver vehicles in congested areas.
Inspect bins, report on condition and functionality or defects.
Conduct precise Commercial Vehicle Inspections - documenting and reporting any deficiencies immediately to immediate supervisor.
Communicate by phone with dispatcher concerning any delays, unsafe work sites, incidents, equipment breakdowns and/or other maintenance or operational concerns as required.
Speak with customers to resolve minor customer concerns and refer customer complaints or questions to Foreperson or the Operations Supervisor.
Operators will ensure that all (waste) bins are emptied and returned in a safe and timely manner and report any discrepancies that may occur.
Other duties as assigned that would fulfill the mandate of complete customer service.
What does Acden need from me?
Valid Class One (1) license or valid Class Three license with Airbrake endorsement is required.
Three (3) or more years of professional truck driving experience is required.
Ability to access all Acden client sites as required by the position.
Commercial Abstract demonstrating a pattern of safe and compliant driving behaviour is required.
Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO), or BSO certificate, or a combination of CSTS & OSSA is required.
Ability to obtain clearance on drug, alcohol, hearing, and physical abilities pre-employment testing is required; this role is designated as safety sensitive.
Successfully completing a driver’s evaluation on an automatic tandem truck is required.
Safety driven attitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
What are the "nice to haves"?
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate is an asset.
Load securement experience in accordance with Alberta Provincial Cargo Securement Regulations is preferred.
Site experience is considered an asset.
