Position/Term: Permanent/ Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)
Location: Sherwood Park, Alberta
Work Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off; 8-hour shifts

What I will be doing?
- As a Class 1 / Ultrasonic Technician, you will be working as part of a small team in an industrial high-pressure wash bay setting
- Using low and high- pressure waterblast equipment for cleaning industrial assets, as well as specialized degreasers, to clean and rinse equipment, including but not limited to heat exchangers and components
- Responsible for rigging plant processing equipment and heavy mining components in and out of our shops
- Using an ultrasonic cleaning tank with the help of an overhead crane, forklift, and various other equipment
- Competently operating a variety of equipment including (i.e. tractor/trailer, pressure washer, overhead crane, forklift, internal bundle cleaner [IBC], bundle blaster, lancing equipment, high pressure pumps and ultrasonic vessels)
- Stacking and laying out scaffolding, critical parts, equipment, and materials utilizing a forklift and overhead crane with rigging equipment to move around
- Operating a tractor with a standard 53-foot trailer
What does Acden need from me?
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license is required
- If selected for an interview, a copy of a 5- year Commercial driver’s abstract is required
- Successfully obtaining clearance on mandatory pre-employment drug, alcohol, hearing, and physical abilities testing is required
What are the "nice to haves"?
- One year or more experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging is preferred
- Ability to drive a Class 1 tractor with 53-foot trailer and properly secure loads is preferred Ability to read and write with excellent comprehension skills is an asset
- Basic understanding of electrical principles is an asset
- Experience with handling cleaning solutions is an asset
