Acden Lemax is actively seeking temporary ice lug welders for a winter seasonal opportunity in Fort McMurray, AB.

Position/Term: Temporary / Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)
Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta
Site: Syncrude Aurora
Work Schedule: 6 on, 6 off; 12-hour shifts (days and/or nights)

What I will be doing?
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
- Use manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal pieces using processes such as gas tungsten arc (TIG or GTAW), gas metal arc (MIG or GMAW), flux-cored arc (FAW), plasma arc (PAW), shielded metal arc (SMAW), oxy-acetylene (OAW), and use manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Duties as they may arise that would fulfill the mandate of providing excellent service to the client.
What does Acden need from me?
- Alberta Certified Journeyperson or Interprovincial Red Seal in Welding trade in good standing required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Welding trade.
- Ability to work from heights or in confined spaces.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem solving, and mathematical calculation skills.
- Basic computer and written communication skills for software entries.
- Detailed-oriented and able to critically think and plan.
- Ability to complete all work in compliance with Alberta legislation and Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
- Physically fit to perform all duties of the job.
What are the "nice to haves"?
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is a preference.
- Elevated/Aerial Work Platform and Fall Protection tickets are assets.
