Acden Mechanical Repair & Maintenance is seeking a dedicated Service Advisor to join our team. In this administrative role, you will play a key part in coordinating service appointments, managing customer inquiries, and ensuring that our diverse fleet of vehicles receives the attention it needs for optimal performance.

Position: Permanent, Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)
Location: Mechanical Repair & Maintenance Shop, Fort McMurray, Alberta
Work Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off; 12-hour day shifts

What I will be doing?
- Interact with customers, by telephone, email and in person, as required
- Gather customer information, work descriptions, hours and kilometers and enter into work orders
- Open, review and close work orders while working closely with parts department and lead hands
- Assign work to technicians as needed with guidance of Lead Hand
- Reach agreement with customers before repairs; explain cost estimate and approximate time when work will be completed
- Assist in cost estimating
- Communicate the need for additional work when needed; explain the details to the customer, including the additional cost and time, and document properly on work order
- Follow up progress of each repair order during the day, contact customers by telephone or email regarding changes in the estimate or time promised
- Interpret warranty information and policies for customers
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
- Prepare / send invoices to customers and collect payment
- Work with Accounts department to avoid customer late payments
- Other duties as assigned which may assist with full services of Acden Mechanical Repair & Maintenance LP.
What does Acden need from me?
- High School diploma is required.
- 5 years' experience as a Service Writer in a Heavy Truck/Automotive environment is required.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean abstract is required.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (including Excel and Word) is required.
- Previous experience working in a customer service role is required.
- Ability to obtain clearance on drug, alcohol, hearing, and physical abilities pre-employment testing is required.
